#BRVCClient Ashley Mondestin Takes on RMF Weekend's Stop The Violence Fashion Show

Back in July, Bridgeport, Connecticut's Respect My Family (RMF) hosted their first RMF Annual Weekend which comprised of a fashion show, a basketball tournament and two parties. Spearheading all of their initiatives with familial values such as: togetherness, support, loyalty and growth--the eventful weekend served as a way to unite residents of CT and beyond to raise money, raise awareness and have a good time while doing so.

The weekend kicked off with the "Stop The Violence" fashion show, which included fashions from the RMF squad and local designers as well as rising models and talent.

BRVC had the pleasure to tap in Ashley Mondestin--an upcoming actress, singer and poet with an inspirational story; and unwavering determination to share her experiences through her artistic capabilities.

During the show, Ashley performed two of her spoken word pieces.

"Brown Girl, Black Woman." is an empowering piece that speaks on the physical, mental and emotional qualities of a black woman that society may deem as troublesome, but in actuality make her all the more magical.

Her second poem titled, "Light In A Time of Darkness," pays homage to the many black lives lost to police brutality and calls for change.

We are so proud of Ashley and thankful she chose BRVC to coordinate her performance. Also, we are thankful to the RMF team for the opportunity.

Please support both of these blossoming, millennial brands by following them.
